Knowing Which Online Casino is the Best

September 20, 2009

Playing at casinos and at other gambling centers could bring so much fun especially if you go there with your gambling buddies. The fact that there is a rapid rise in the number of people who go these types of entertainment centers just means that today’s generation has already accepted it as a normal form of entertainment considering that it is actually gambling.

My uncle Jerry is a very big fan of slot machines the only special about him is that he actually plays it online.Personally, I have been planning of trying to do online casino as well but I still not sure which casino I should play in. I’ve just read a casino review that listed down the best casinos in terms of their slot machine games and I was amazed as most of those in the list were actually the ones I was planning to play in to.

The review also included some common casino search phrases that most people type in search engines like Google and Yahoo. One of the keywords that I tried to copy for my search is USA online casino which actually revealed a lot of relevant search results in Google.

If you are new to online casino, I suggest that you do your homework first that is to do some research about the best casinos online and I’m sure it is worth your time. Hopefully you will be able to pick the best online casino soon. Enjoy playing!

Get Free Wordpress Blog Hosting

Anybody likes to get a free web hosting for wordpress? My friend Ravi is offering a full year of free blog hosting and he will even assist you if you don’t know how to work yourself around wordpress. All you need is your own private domain name. I haven’t ask him but I bet he won’t allow sub-domains. Personally, I would also suggest that you get your own domain for your blog.

A private domain name can make your blog a bit professional and it is actually a lot easier to memorize than those blogs that hosted through a sub-domain. I think the average rate per month for a starter hosting plan is around $3 to $6 and knowing this, just imagine how much you will get in total savings if you avail Ravi’s free hosting.

You can also visit my new blog Wired Tags dot com for more info.

Reasons Why Readers Follow a Blogger’s Blog

August 8, 2009

Bloggers who are just once plain readers of other people’s blogs tend to forget the main reason why they follow someones’s blog. I also forgot it myself but I just realized it now that I’m about to start another blog. First, we follow someone’s blog because he has the contents that we need or that we are interested about. He’s blogs topic shares our interests. That’s I guess the main reason.

Second, we follow a person’s blog because his articles are well composed. An article doesn’t have to be extraordinary or any way special than other bloggers’ blog posts but it just have to be well written and well reviewed before it’s posted. Readers for a fact are more keen to seeing the errors than the blogger who wrote the article.

Another reason why we follow someone’s blog is because his posts are kept short and are direct to the point. Obviously, we are easily bored by the long articles especially if we only get a portion of what we actually expect to get out of the entire article. People want precise but short articles. We read because we want to be informed about the topic.

As a blogger, we ought to entertain our readers and as well as provide them useful information at the same time. I will be starting another blog it is call WiredTags[.]com and hopefully I will get a good numbers of followers. I have a lot of lessons learned from my previous blogging experience so hope I could apply every thing in my new blog.

Reviving a Blog

May 1, 2009

It has been more than four straight months now since I last posted an entry here in my blog, Abstractmind. I was lacking the motivation to continue writing more articles after Google penalized my blog’s page rank (PR). I only had 2/10 PR compared with most bloggers’ 4/10 page ranks.

For a regular person who doesn’t blog, it may not be an issue at all. But the reason I got so upset with Google is that, it has cut down my blog’s PR to 0/10 which means I am back to nothing. All my potential earnings from paid blogging are gone as well.

Now, why am I writing? The answer is simple. I realized nothing will ever happen if I stay upset. My supposed-to-be earnings will never come back if I don’t act today. I am building back my blog and we’ll see what happens in the future.

Reviving this blog is the only solution I can do to move forward with blogging. After all, it’s not just about the money one generates; it also shows one’s passion for writing.

Eyeglasses for You this Christmas!

December 20, 2008

Try to picture out a sunny day and you’re out on the streets walking with other commuters as you head off to your office or to somewhere perhaps towards your kid’s school. You would probably see yourself wearing light clothes and elegant sunglasses. That’s just about perfect for the day. Sunglasses are really useful anywhere we go, right? I bought mine for $60 on eBay, and although it’s a bit expensive, I can still say that it’s worth it.

Ironically, I wouldn’t be talking too much about that expensive sunglasses, because I found this very attractive deal online. Imagine, for just as little as $15 you can already buy a high quality prescription eyeglasses. Now, that’s just way better than those being sold in department stores. You can check Optical4Less.com and see for yourself their great deals if this sounds too good to be true. Oh just in time, it’s already Christmas, so you may want to include in your gift ideas giving out eyeglasses or sunglasses to your family and friends. I’m sure they would be happy to receive one.

By the way, Optical4Less.com also ships eyeglasses for free anywhere worldwide. That’s if you order more than a pair of eyeglasses from their online shop. Isn’t that great? You buy at least two eyeglasses and then you are already entitled to a free fast shipping no matter where you’re located around the globe.

Abstractmind: One Year and Counting

Friends, Abstractmind is now approaching its first birthday! Wow, just imagine how fast the days have gone. It’s been more than 300 days since I posted my first ever article in this simple blog. I can still clearly recall that day, it was the last day of the year December 31, and I was all alone in my small room with nobody to celebrate New Year with. It was kinda sad to think that I wasn’t with my family on both the Christmas and New Year’s eve last year. At least now, I will be able to go home to my hometown and spend the holidays with my family. For the record, I haven’t been to our house for two years now, so just imagine my excitement to be back home this holiday.

I have another blog, a paid blog but unfortunately it is outdated for the last 3 months. Abstractmind on the other hand has been my favorite even if it is on a free sub-domain and even if many advertisers prefer blogs with paid or private domains. I feel so lucky to have Abstractmind around. I earn money through it and the opportunities are bountiful.

Hopefully, my google page rank will increase next year so I can reserve better opportunities. Just an advice to those who are planning to start their own blog, always remember that the quality of your content should be your top priority more than anything else. Keep that in mind and the opportunities and regular readers will just follow.

Watch It this Christmas!

December 19, 2008

My officemate ask me this morning if I already bought gifts for my friends and family. I right away thought that she would ask me next about the shop where I buy gifts, and guess what, I was right she did ask me of the shop name. I’ll leave you hanging where I bought my gifts because for sure you will be wondering too. This Christmas, many people are searching for holiday gift guide, basically because of just a single reason, which is there are so many items that can be bought just about anywhere online and offline and it’s causing people to become crazy finding the right item to give to their love ones.

Personally, I love watches and in fact, I do have a collection of watches at home. I wear them depending on the day or on the occasion. Watches sometimes give other people an idea about your personality. Whether you are a business type of guy or a sporty person, there will always be a watch that will suit you and your taste. Actually, giving a watch to somebody this Christmas is one of the best holiday gift idea that I could think of. I mean everybody loves watches and it’s something that you can easily decide on too when buying when you buy it.

You can visit thewatchery.com where you can find a wide range of watch items for both genders. And since it’s the season of giving, expect to find great deals in there website. There are big mark downs of watch prices. Just like my personal pick, the Movado Gentry Men’s Watch Chronograph Stainless Steel Blue model 0605311 that is originally priced at $895 but this Christmas marked down to $415. I hope somebody gives me that watch this Christmas else I will have to buy it myself. So, that’s it about watches, enjoy watch shopping!

Knowledge is Power

Working as a freelance web content writer and web designer has been a very challenging experience for me. Knowing just the basics of the web structures does not really helped out as the competition is really tight among other freelancers online. But you don’t have to have long years of experience in order to land on a project, as long as you have some previous projects done that can added up to your portfolio then you are set to start.

Back then when I was still a novice, I used to study a number of web authoring applications that were really helpful in completing web design projects. Becoming familiar with the different formats and file extensions for images and graphics, programming languages and documents were the things that I enjoyed learning. Fortunately, what used to be hard-to-search and learn file extensions are now consolidated into a single web portal for people to easily get information from. Common file extensions like .exe, .doc, .docx are comprehensively presented to make learning easy even for the common people like moms and even kids.

So, for those of you who are planning to work as a freelancer, understanding file extensions and how they are generated is something you can do for a start. Some clients might require you to submit an article in an HTML format, so you should have a file with an extension of ‘.html’. Don’t worry these stuffs are quite easy to learn and they’re fun to study too. I hope you enjoyed and have learned a little about freelancing from this article.

Keep Your Business Up during this Downturn

December 16, 2008

Nobody expected that the world’s top economies will all fall together into deep financial crisis today. Daily news headlines are either about banks and financial institutions asking for a bailout from their governments or about businesses declaring bankruptcy and corporations shutting down. Indeed this is such a sad split in our history, poor nations becoming even poorer and developing countries struggling to stand on their current places.

Going down to smaller units, what can we do to stay stable during this downturn? Many today believe that availing small business loans can greatly help pin their businesses to a better position in the thrifty market. I guess there is no industry today that remains unaffected by this global financial turmoil. Everyone is just covered with the shadow of this challenging time. People with less money to spend are now preferring to buy stuffs through credit cards. Businesses, whether large or small, should already consider accepting credit cards as a mode of payment for their services and merchandise.

Innovation is also needed for businesses to stay on the game especially for the small players. In this times, not a single company is exempted. Just take the case of established companies whose presence were felt for decades in the industry, some are still struggling but many have already fallen and had closed this year. To keep us operating for business, study the market and consider the benefits if you avail a business loan. Hopefully, next year will be a better time to do business.

Keep your Place Safe with Digital Security

Advance technology and advance software are two things that every company should acquire. Well, that is if they really wish to be ahead of the competition. Most large corporations and financial institutions today install digital security camera in almost all corners of their offices. Having those cameras around will discourage office staffs from performing non-work related activities as they are made aware that the management are monitoring them through those cameras and those will also help companies in identifying any theft in the company. Digital security cameras are also very popular among banks and shopping malls where many people come and go from time to time.

In some highly urbanized states in the US like in Chicago, digital security cameras are installed in most streets to monitor and prevent crimes for which most are due to gang conflicts. So, for companies who want to get big dicounts and other great deals on business hardware and security systems, IT Planet is a one stop online shop for all of these requirements.

These are just some of the many ways digital security cameras are being used nowadays. For banks and critical places, a more advanced and more defined camera shots maybe required to aid expidite investigation results just in case a bank robbery or the likes happen in these places.

It’s Christmas Time for Businesses

Exchanging gifts, choir caroling on streets, and preparing long wishlists are just some of the things that people do during this time of the year. Nine days more and it’s Christmas already. No other seasons could bring such joy and love in the hearts of the people and I think it’s the only holiday celebrated all over the world on the same day, December 25. As for my observation, people tend to become a little more generous than they usually are. Indeed, we feel light and happy when we are able to reach out to our fellows who need our help. I hope people think of every day as Christmas so we don’t get tired of helping and bringing joy and peace to others.

As for businesses and companies, this Yuletide season also marks a special activity for them. It’s a time to show their clients and business partners that they are sincere in doing business with them. Perhaps one of the best way to share this peace-bringing season is to send out elegant corporate holiday cards. So you will be looking for one, I would personally recommend shopping for holiday cards at GalleryCollection.com. More than offering elegant looking and uniquely designed cards, GalleryCollection.com is also generously sponsoring free downloads of “Christmas Carols” by the great author Charles Dickens at DailyLit.com.

Freelance Jobs Versus Regular Jobs

Web content development and other online jobs like sponsored blogging have boosted many people’s monthly incomes. Working on these kind of jobs gives many the freedom of managing their own schedules and letting them work only when they feel like doing it. Indeed, Freelance Jobs as we categorized them are a great source of extra income for those who wish to earn more aside from their monthly pay out of their regular jobs.

Although many have tried pursuing a career in the freelancing industry, sad to say only a few survived. One major factor can be the lack of personal motivation to put up with the jobs. I guess only those who are determined stays in this business. Interest is a good motivator but is not enough to keep a new freelancer up. Well, its just a sideline job anyway. At least some people have tried and experience the reward of working as a freelancer.

Personally, I am proud to have found this kind of job. It’s just like the rest of the types of jobs there are both online and offline but I guess if you like more free time, no boss, no required number of hours, working in pajamas, working at home then you should also try working as a freelancer online. Odesk and Elance are two great sources of freelance jobs online. Feel free to visit them online and I’m sure you will find many easy and interesting jobs.

Computer Background Processes: Do you know them?

November 22, 2008

People engaged in their daily routines at home and in their work places without almost minding that some things that they are currently using today aren’t available a decade ago. Just like the personal computers, before only a few nerds have them until computers became commercially available and now it’s almost like a need for most people in urban cities and metropolitans. Computers play a great role in almost all fields from banking to production down to simple online teleconferences.

But ever since you’ve started using your PCs or notebooks, were your for once conscious about the processes running in your computers aside from those application windows that are visible on your screens? Do you know that there are more programs running in your computer that are not visible or those termed as “background processes” just like the msmpeng.exe process. It is responsible for preventing and removing spyware infections from your computers.

Well, I bet only a few care to at least learn about the background processes in their computers. But if you only happened to hear about those background processes just today and if you are interested to learn more, you can visit http://application-error.net. Learning about computer stuffs is actually fun and through your leanings, you can then better take care of your computers both externally and internally.

Search Images by Color

November 11, 2008

To keep my desktop background from getting boring, I try to change it every week. I usually try to search for a picture that would match my mood or the occasion. That’s why I got so excited when I found this site that not only gives you beautiful image results but also lets you have fun with it.

Picitup is a visual image search engine that let’s you play around by combining words and colors in your searches. Aside from its color based search function, what I also love about this site is its visual filters. You can quicken your search for that exact picture you wanted by using categories like faces, landscape or products. It’s fast and great image results, too.

Getting a Personal Loan Online

November 9, 2008

Have you ever experienced a time in your life where you badly needed money but just don’t know where to get it from? With just about no one to turn to, you spent countless stressful hours wracking your head to come up with ideas on how to get hold of that extra cash. I believe this is the primary reason why financial institutions or loan companies exist. In times of need, one can easily apply for a personal loan. With the internet as a popular medium of doing business transactions, applying for a loan is even made simpler.

Doing an Online Personal Loan certainly has its benefits. The major one is its convenience. One can just sit back and wait as your application is processed within seconds and have it approved within minutes. It’s hassle-free, that is, you don’t even have to answer awkward questions that you’re subjected to when in front of financial advisors or lenders. One can forget worrying about bad credit history also. You can get a personal loan without credit checks being required. So the next time you’re in bad need of cash, turn your sights online!

Defragmenting Your PC

November 8, 2008

Aside from making sure that you have updated antivirus software, there are also other ways to care for your PC. One of these is regular defragmentation. Whenever you use your computer to say creating and saving a file, downloading and file installations, or just browsing websites, your PC automatically saves the data in bits or fragments. It does this every time. Eventually your hardware would have accumulated quite a number of these file fragments all throughout your hardware. This can in turn cause your PC to slow down considerably.

Defragmentation simply means putting all these save file fragments back together into one common file or program. Thus it makes your computer load faster by having shorter file access time. It also contributes to more efficient data storage.

Most computers have their own built-in defragmenting tool as part of its system tools. It’s pretty easy to manage. Just click on the Start button > Go to My Computer > Right click on (C:) > Choose Properties > Click on Tools > Click the Defragmentation option. That’s it.

Take note also that defragmenting can take from a few minutes to even a few hours. From experience, the first one usually takes the longest. It’s normal so don’t worry. You can also schedule your computer to run a defragmentation regularly. You can choose the time and date. For the average user, once a month is good enough.

Check Who Called You

November 6, 2008

Lately I have this habit of not answering phone calls I received that only shows the number. Well, there’s a reason to that. I’ve been receiving a number of calls lately from strangers telling me that this certain friend of mine referred me to them about a possible business plan. Or if not that, it would be persistent agents trying to sell their products.

That’s why I’d rather not answer this kind of calls. This is a good plan as long as the person on the other line is indeed a stranger. But I also worry that I may be missing on an important call. So the other side to this is that I sometimes ended up calling the number right back. That is, before I discovered reverse number lookups.

You have to praise technology as simple and as efficient as this. With a Canada phone number reverse, you’ll get information on any phone number in just a matter of seconds! It doesn’t matter if it’s a cell phone number, blocked, or unlisted number. Information like owner’s name and address even phone carrier and line type is guaranteed. One feature that I particularly like is the ability of this service to locate even old, outdated numbers. Wondering how long lost friends are doing nowadays? Easily locate them through reverse number lookups.

Your Personal ATM Right in Your House

November 5, 2008

I was browsing the net when I came across this cool gadget. It’s called the ATM Money Bank. Apparently, this invention is not quite new. Results on further searches revealed that this toy has been around since 2006! But I only discovered it a few minutes ago. Tsk.

The ATM Bank takes on the piggy bank concept but this time with some modern electronic modifications. This cash machine for one runs on AA batteries. And just like a proper ATM, you also have your own card complete with a 4-digit secret code for access. It can tell you how much money you have deposited and withdrawn. It can accept both coin and paper bill deposits.

Now although in the online stores I’ve checked, this has been listed mainly under the “for kids” I sure wouldn’t mind owning one!
