New Year’s Resolutions

December 31, 2007
  • October - I was a student.

  • November - I was a job seeker.

  • December - I was hired.

I was a student, then I graduated, next I was a job seeker and then now I'm working already. Events weren't happening so fast as I reflected on them earlier.lol I am ambitious yet I am not that driven. I know what I want and what to do yet I am not pursueing them. I am lazy that's why. This attitude is not bringing me anywhere at all. I'll be stagnant and will be left behind by my dreams…lol

Surprisingly, I had some reflections today…hahaha can't start another year without doing so.lol I reflected on the things that I've always wanted ever since, my past endeavors, blah blah blah. . . Laziness is my personal enemy. Sad to say, I've been struggling to get rid of it for many years now. And I'm on the ring again for another round, battling against this corky attitude.

Thinking of all my big dreams, I cannot be lazy all the time. So, my no. 1 new year's resolution?!  NOT to be lazy again! Sounds great, right?!! lol Like people say, it's an attitude. Oh by the way, this blog's a proof that I'm not lazy anymore. hahaha Creating a blog was my plan even long before but I never lifted a finger for this. Well, I only started 'Abstractmind' this afternoon after I've done everything on my to-do-list. Quite a change, don't you think!? lol

Here are some of my New Year's Resolutions!

  1. Eat my meals on time.

  2. Work hard.

  3. Seek to learn new things.

  4. Less words more actions. (should be 2nd on the list..lol)

  5. Think positive.

Day Before New Year ‘08

My family and I wish you and all your loved ones the child Jesus' promise of peace and love and all the best this coming year can possibly bring! Wishing for you a more fruitful 2008! God bless!

This was the first new year greeting I received in my phone today. 'Wishing for you a more fruitful 2008!' Before the year finally ends, I just want to thank the Lord for all the blessings He has given me all throughout the year 2007. I'm indeed feeling so blessed with all that I have now and with what I have become and also with all the things that passed by me this year; maybe God has some bigger plans for me in the future.

I will be spending my first new year celebration in CEBU tonight and alone. Well, maybe, not exactly alone but away from my family. Hopefully, next year I will be able to spend Christmas and New Year with them again. So far, I don't have any plans yet as to how my new year night's going to be celebrated.lol.

And by the way,  this is my first blog post for this blog, Abstractmind. I intentionally made this as a way of starting the year productively.lol Later on, I will monetize this blog but i'm still searching for the best way to do it. I'm planning to create posts about online payment systems, ways to earn money online, new gadgets available in the market today, cool stuffs online, site reviews, etc.
