I was quite surprised last night as checked my friend’s blog’s google page rank, it dropped down to a ZERO! But as far as I could remember, her blog has already gotten a PR4. Well, I guess it has something to do with her posting badges from paid to blog websites. These websites as we all know them have emerged to become the search engines’ competitors and Google obviously dislikes them.
Some may not know this but Google, Yahoo and those paid to blog programs are all earning easy money through advertising. Although, Google was first in the block with perhaps close to a million website owners that posting ads from Google through its very popular Adsense program, site moderators and bloggers are now considering other options like selling ads space and not to mention the money generator paid to blog programs.
Back to the google page rank thing, I was even more surprised when I checked my blog’s PR. It was like me winning the lottery when I saw that Google has already updated my standing and granted me an astonishing PR2! Yeah, ok I’m just exaggerating, but I really didn’t expect to get even PR1 as I already gave up with my blog’s SEO (Search Engine Optimization) three months ago. Well, to Google thank you! lol Now, I’m gonna strive to hit the PR5 level.
I’ll probably discuss in my next blog entry why Google Page Rank is very important for bloggers like me who want to take advantage of the opportunities from paid to blog programs.
