Know Who is Calling You

Most of the time, people use a phonebook or an electronic phonebook to search for somebody else’s phone number. With a phonebook, finding a user’s number is very easy as long as you know his or her full name. But, what do you do when somebody phones you and yet you don’t know who is calling because his number is not registered on your phone? Well, if you are living in the US this thing is very easy to solve. You can always use 50 State Phone Book which is a reverse phone number lookup service on the Internet. It is by the way termed ‘reverse’ because you would be you using that person’s phone number to search for his name and address instead of doing the query the other way around. And the great thing about the service is that you don’t have to wait for minutes or hours in order to get a result, it will only take a few seconds.

Printers: Do you know that…

Aside from the production costs of the physical printers, printer manufacturers like Lexmark and HP dedicate a big part of their money for research and development. The idea of coming up with a perfect home printer remains a dream for these companies and so to fill up for their printer’s incapabilities, they have the combo printer instead or the 3-in-1 printer that has three major funtions; the printer, the document scanner, and the photocopier. Good for them because they have competitive marketing teams who are in-charge of all the gimmicks that will get the peoples’ eyes on their printers. Well, it’s not really a bad idea, at least they added some other useful functions in exchange to their printer’s incapabilities to deliver excellent print qualities.

Speaking of printers, do you know that the RGB color scheme in home printers does not apply in printing companies’ big printers? In order to deliver better quality prints, large scale printers found in medium to large printing companies separate an image’s original color into four standard colors called the CMYK color scheme, C for Cyan, M for Magenta, Y for yellow and K for Black. Under the usual process, the printing paper is fed into the printer four times with the Cyan color in the first layer and then the magenta, then yellow and lastly the black color. Now, try to check you magazines or posters, just among the many printed materials that are fed four times into a huge printer before they are finally taken as finished goods.
